Cookie policy
The few cookies PeekPrompt uses, what each one is for and how to control them.
In short:
- We only use cookies the site needs to work: your sign-in session, the free visitor copy, and your theme and language choice.
- There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so there's nothing to consent to.
- You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between visits, such as that you're signed in.
PeekPrompt also keeps a few things in your browser's storage instead of cookies: your appearance choices (text size, reduced motion, video autoplay), your recent searches and unfinished AI tool drafts, so you don't lose them when you sign up. They stay on your device and are never sent to us with your requests.
02Cookies we use
This is every cookie PeekPrompt sets. All of them are first-party and strictly necessary or store a choice you made.
03Essential cookies
The session and visitor cookies are needed for the site to work: without them you couldn't stay signed in, and the free visitor copy couldn't be counted fairly. Signing in with Google may also set a short-lived security cookie for the sign-in itself. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they don't need your consent.
Cloudflare, which delivers our site and runs the Turnstile check on some forms, may set its own strictly necessary security cookies to tell people from bots. They aren't used to track you.
04Analytics and advertising
PeekPrompt doesn't use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and there are no third-party advertising trackers on the site. Sponsored placements are chosen only by your country and the page language, without cookies.
If we ever want to add optional cookies, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent before setting them.
05Managing cookies
You can see, delete or block cookies in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Site data. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out and keep you from signing in; deleting the theme or language cookies only resets those choices.
- Chrome and Edge: Settings › Privacy (cookies and site data)
- Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
06Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the date at the top. New optional cookies will only be set after you agree.
