Privacy policy

01Information we collect

GKC LABS LLC, the company that runs PeekPrompt, is responsible for your information (the “controller”). We collect what you give us, what's created while you use PeekPrompt, and a little technical information to keep the site safe.

PeekPrompt isn't meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. If we learn that a child below that age has an account, we'll delete it.

• Account: your email address, username, password (stored only as a one-way hash) or your Google sign-in, your plan and your settings.
• Profile: your display name, avatar and anything else you add to your public profile, plus your language and timezone, so your daily copies reset at your own midnight.
• Activity: the prompts you copy, like, save or add to collections, the creators you follow and the prompts you share.
• AI tools: the text and images you submit to an AI tool and its result, saved in My generations, plus your credit balance and history.
• Payments: Stripe handles your card. We receive your subscription status, plan and invoice records, never your full card number.
• Messages: what you send through the contact form, including attachments, and the reports you send about prompts.
• Sign-in sessions: for each signed-in device, the IP address and browser, so you can see and end your sessions in Settings and so we can spot suspicious sign-ins.
• Security and limits: a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your IP address for rate limits and abuse checks. For visitors without an account, a random visitor id in a cookie and a hashed IP address count the free visitor copy.
• Sponsors: how many times each sponsored placement is shown and clicked, counted per campaign. These numbers aren't linked to you.

02How we use information

We use your information only to run PeekPrompt, keep it safe and talk to you about your account. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.

• To provide the service you signed up for: your account, profile, copies, credits, AI tools, saved prompts, memberships and payments.
• To keep PeekPrompt safe and fair, which is in our and our members' legitimate interest: rate limits, preventing abuse of the free copy, moderation and protecting accounts.
• To send emails you need, such as sign-in links, receipts, membership changes and moderation decisions about your prompts.
• To answer your messages and reports.
• To keep accounting and tax records where the law requires it.
• To understand how PeekPrompt is used, through counts and statistics that don't identify you.

03Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The full list is on the Cookies page.

04Sharing and third parties

Your public profile and the prompts you share are visible to everyone. Our database (Postgres) and cache (Redis) run on our own servers at Hetzner in Germany, managed with Coolify. A few service providers process information for us, only to provide their service:

• Cloudflare: content delivery, DNS, file storage (R2) for images and videos, Turnstile bot protection on some forms, and detecting your country for sponsored placements.
• Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
• Resend: sending emails such as sign-in links and receipts.
• Google: optional “Sign in with Google”, only if you choose it.
• Anthropic: runs the AI tools. What you submit to a tool (text and images) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce your result. We also use it to translate prompt titles and summaries, which involves no personal information.

05Retention and security

We keep your account information until you delete your account.

• Deleting your account removes your profile, likes, saves, collections, follows, the prompts you shared, your AI tool runs and your credit history. Records of your copies may be kept without your name, in anonymised or aggregated form, for statistics.
• Sign-in sessions end when you sign out, or after 30 days without use.
• Rate-limit entries expire on their own, usually within a day.
• Contact messages and attachments are kept as long as we need them to handle your request. Attachments are kept in private storage that only our staff can open.
• Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.
• Deleted information may stay in backups for a short time before it's overwritten.

06Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and Türkiye's personal data law (KVKK), you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correct information that's wrong. Most of it you can edit yourself in Settings.
• Delete your account and data. You can do this yourself in Settings.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Stop or limit a particular use of your information, or object to it.

07Changes

We may update this policy when PeekPrompt or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use your information in a significant way, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
